  - Level 1 - Maternal Massage
    Weekend Course 9-5pm | Practicum to Follow
    
    This dynamic hands-on course will prepare you to offer basic prenatal, postnatal and labour massage services. Receive continuing education credits from the NHPC (34 hours) and the MTAA (17 primary credits) after completion.
    Requirements
    . Registered Massage Therapist status
    . Required Reading PRIOR to course: 'Pre & Perinatal Massage Therapy' by Carol Osborne-Sheets
    . Background Reading on Pregnancy - Suggestions: 'Pregnancy, Childbirth & the Newborn' by Penny Simkin, 'The New Well Pregnancy Book' by Mike Samuels

    After completion of the weekend course, to receive certification, you will perform 10 practicum massages at your own location. At least 2 of the massages are to be performed on postnatal women, and each massage is to be offered to a different woman.
    
    The practicum massages are to be completed within 6 months of taking the weekend course. If not completed within the 6 month period, you may retake the weekend course for $250 +gst and then receive an additional 6 months to complete the required practicum massages.
- Level 2
  - Level 2 - Advanced Maternal Massage
    Distance & Weekend Course 9-5pm | Practicum to Follow
    
    Grow your knowledge and become more confident in your skills as a Maternal Massage Therapist. Receive continuing education credits from the NHPC and the MTAA after completion.
    What will you learn?
    . Detailed Understanding of Stages of Pregnancy & Physical/Emotional Changes (distance study)
    . Review of Contraindications and Guidelines to Maternal Massage
    . Advanced Massage Techniques for Pregnancy, Labour & Postpartum
    . Complete Massage Routine for Pregnancy, Labour & Postpartum
    . Hands-on Application of all Techniques and Routines
    
    The first part of this course is a short distance study module designed to deepen your knowledge of the anatomical, physiological & emotional aspects of pregnancy, labour and the postpartum periods. The weekend course that follows is almost entirely hands-on with lots of practice and discovery of new techniques - working to link client requirements, technique/treatment planning and a full massage routine.
    After completion of the weekend course, to receive certification, you will perform 5 practicum massages at your own location. At least 2 of the massages are to be performed on postnatal women, and each massage is to be offered to a different woman.
    
    The practicum massages are to be completed within 6 months of taking the weekend course. If not completed within the 6 month period, you may retake the weekend course for $250 +gst and then receive an additional 6 months to complete the required practicum massages.

  - Labour Massage Specialization
    Distance & Onsite Course | Practicum with Doula to Follow
    
    Specialize in labour massage - offering support that a woman relies on during the life-altering experience of giving birth. More than just massage, you will gain significant knowledge about the process of labour, the natural mechanisms that our body has for birthing easily and how you can help a woman realise her inner strength and ability to birth. Continuing education credits will be available after approval is received from the NHPC and the MTAA.

    The first part of this course is a short distance study module designed to teach the background knowledge necessary for understanding the anatomical, physiological & emotional aspects of the birthing woman. The weekend course that follows is very hands-on and you will be performing most of the techniques on fellow students and then applying to pregnant women in their third trimester. After completion of the weekend course, to receive certification, you will perform 2 practicum labour massages at your own location with a Doula mentor.
    
    The practicum massages are to be completed within 6 months of taking the weekend course. If not completed within the 6 month period, you may retake the weekend course for $250 +gst and then receive an additional 6 months to complete the required practicum massages.
- Mom & Baby
  - Postnatal Massage with Baby Specialization
    Distance & Onsite Course | Short Practicum to Follow
    
    Want to offer a unique massage experience for mom & baby? In this exceptional course, you will learn the interrelations between mom & baby and how to incorporate baby into a postnatal massage. Continuing education credits from the NHPC and the MTAA will be reviewed in the near future.

    . Postpartum and Infant Massage Techniques
    
    The first part of this course is a short distance study module designed to teach the background knowledge necessary for understanding the anatomical, physiological & emotional aspects of the postnatal and newborn periods. The one-day course that follows will provide you with the hands-on experience you need to offer this powerful therapy. After completion of the weekend course, to receive certification, you will perform 2 practicum massages at your own location, with each massage offered to a different woman.
    
    The practicum massages are to be completed within 6 months of taking the weekend course. If not completed within the 6 month period, you may retake the 1-day course for $250 +gst and then receive an additional 6 months to complete the required practicum massages.

  After completion of the weekend course, to receive certification, you will offer ten (10) practicum treatment sessions. The practicum experience is to be completed within 6 months of taking the weekend course.
